Was Neymar not bought for games like these?

Well well well, PSG succumbed to a 3-1 loss at the hands of current champions Real Madrid but a player that I want to address is Neymar. A player bought by PSG for the world record transfer fee was thought to be the man to take PSG to the next level. To help the club get past the real big boys of European football. Yet when the two teams met it was Cristiano Ronaldo who turned up scoring two vitally important goals, showing why Neymar is still a bit off his and Messi's level. Now, Neymar did in spells have a good game and there is still a second leg to be played. However the inconsistency in his performance is what will have frustrated fans. Mazy runs ended in him loosing the ball all too often and decisions to pass when he should have shot and vice versa showed that he still has some work to do. The second leg could arguably be a defining moment in Neymar's career. To show that he has stepped out of Messi's shadow and to prove that he can carry a team all the way in a tournament. Time will tell and I cannot wait for the second leg.
