Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich

The second leg of the champions league tie between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich is upon us. Madrid lead 2-1 from the first leg and look in good condition to make it to the final for a third successive time. Bayern on the other hand look to make it to the final for the first time since their triumph in 2013. The first leg was a rather drab one, with neither side really being able to get into their flow. Kimmich struck first for Bayern after a goalkeeping error from Navas allowed the cross come shot travel into the top corner. Real replied just before half time with a Marcelo sweetly struck half-volley nestling into the bottom corner. Assensio scored the vital second away goal and sealed the game in the second half. Both Carvajal and Isco are expected to miss the second leg which will pose a selection problem for Zidane at right back. Isco's absence might see Gareth Bale brought back into the side and see Madrid revert to a 4-4-2 as they did against PSG. Bayern will be happy to see the return of David Alaba but still have key players missing such as Robben and Vidal. It's a tough ask for Bayern to turn it around, especially with Real's experience and record against Bayern and I can only see a Real Madrid win. 2-1.
